Who is responsible for your information
Brecon & Dean Ltd (company number 15742072), trading as Brecon & Dean Surveyors, is the data controller for the information you provide.
What is collected and why
When you use the enquiry form or contact the practice by phone or email, the details you give — your name, email address, telephone number, the property concerned and what you need — are used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you instruct the practice, to carry out and deliver the work.
Legal basis
Responding to enquiries and performing an instruction is carried out on the basis of legitimate interests and, where an instruction is accepted, performance of a contract. Records required by RICS and by law are kept on the basis of legal obligation.
Sharing
Your information is not sold, and no referral fees are taken for passing details on. It is shared only where necessary to deliver the work you instruct, or where the practice is required to disclose it by law or by its regulator.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to an instruction are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Records relating to completed instructions are retained for the period required for professional indemnity and regulatory purposes.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where there is no continuing legal or professional reason to keep it. Write to jbuckingham@bdsurveyors.com. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
